Spontaneous no more?

Sometimes, too much information can be bad for you. It takes away spontaneity. Gone are the days when my husband and I would just go on spur-of-the-moment trips. Now those trips are marred by Weather.com. Days leading up to the weekend, I'd be checking that site to see if bad weather is on the horizon. If yes, then we won't go anywhere. Stay at home. Do chores and errands.

Presidents Day long weekend and Easter weekend were both spent here at home. Not that I don't like our home. I adore it. But sometimes, I just want to go out there. See other places. Try out other food. Six of my ten vacation days are already alloted for a November trip. I have four to use up, which I intend to put to good use. I've noted down the official holidays (4th of July is a Wednesday, darn!), so we can plan some get-aways around those dates. I prefer long drives so our dog Zack can go with us. He hasn't flown on a plane yet. We're not sure he can actually fly in the cabin. We definitely don't want to fly with him in the cargo area.
