Finally, my post about Prague

Overall, it was a good trip. My very first European trip ever. Why it took me this long to head to Europe, I don't know. I think it's pure laziness, you know, having to apply for a visa and the whole caboodle. Anyway...

It rained. It snowed. Yet it was still a fantastic trip. We walked all around Prague. Had the chance to amble and dawdle in Prague, instead of rushing all around the place. Tried Czech food in different restaurants. Ate the Czech pastry trdelnik. Joined tour groups to see Český Krumlov, Kutná Hora (I wanted to see the Ossuary...yeah, I'm creepy that way) and Karlovy Vary. Bought 4 boxes of the Karlovy Vary wafers, 4 boxes of Orion chocolates, a tiny Czech crystal pitcher and the Karlovy Vary drinking cup (I don't know what the cup's called).

Took a lot of pictures, which still needs to be sorted out. I'm planning to post the pictures in Flickr, instead of here. Not yet though. I'll make sure to post the link here so you'll get to see the pictures.

What made it fun:
It's Prague! I've always wanted to see it. Now I finally did!

The air/hotel package we got from Tatra Travel was worth the money.

Gorgeous architecture! Art Deco, Art Nouveau, Baroque, Gothic - you name it, we saw it. I'm not so into architecture, but after seeing this trip, I have a newfound respect for it.

Group tours - best way to go sightseeing in a country whose language I know not of.

Bummers:
Just one major bummer - I caught some nasty bug while on vacation. It's still hanging on. Grrr...

So what did I learn from this trip?

Even knowing a little bit of the local language is good. But you know what's amazing? Seeing right before my very eyes that saying thank you still has the power to make people smile. Děkuji!

Yes, finally! Can't wait to see the pictures. :)

You're so lucky to be able to go to places you want to. And this got me interested in Prague. It's in Europe!

Will search about it when I got home! :)

Thank you for sharing!

Sounds interesting...except for the fact that I don't know all the places you had just mention here. Hahaha...

Ok, I shall read and travel more. :P

The fun thing with traveling is you see places you wouldn't even have known existed had you stayed at home.

Of course, traveling IS expensive. That's why we gotta put our nose to the grindstone...ugggh!

Go out there and see the world! It goes without saying that you have to save up enough money first...haha!
