Meditating doggy...FIL's angiogram...surgery tomorrow!

I'm glad my sister Lani posted about our meditating doggy in her blog (you can find it here). It was nice seeing him on her meditation pillow. Wouldn't it be more fun if she actually caught him on camera doing his yoga poses (downward- and upward-facing-dog postures) on the meditation pillow?

Correction to yesterday's post: My father-in-law underwent angiogram today. There was a (30-40%) blockage in one of his arteries, which the doctor thinks can be treated with medications. No angioplasty was done. He was cleared for surgery tomorrow around 11am. We were all there in the hospital today - me, my husband, my mother-in-law, my sisters-in-law, my brother-in-law and my niece. My FIL's angiogram was scheduled at 7am, but it actually happened starting at 10:50am. Quite a long wait for all of us. I didn't realize that I was waiting with bated breath until I heard the angiogram results. Then I let out a deep sigh. I'm still not a big fan of hospitals, but if needed, I can be there, of course. Thankfully, my 6-month old niece was ok with waiting. She made cooing noises or babbled away. She'd play with her toys and then napped.

Tomorrow's another early day for all of us. Papa has to be in the hospital by 8a.m. We were supposed to head back to Connecticut tomorrow (we earlier thought his surgery would happen yesterday, but it didn't). But since the surgery's tomorrow, it seems stupid to return back home on the day of the surgery itself. Good thing we bought trip insurance (we usually don't). They said we can file a claim to get our new booking reimbursed as long as it gets signed by Papa's doctor. Wish us luck on that too. It's the first time we're doing something like this.
