The birthday that was

My husband celebrated his 34th birthday last Saturday. I gave him 5 options on how to celebrate his birthday:

1. All-Day Movie Marathon (daytime/evening) - I planned to rent/buy The Jason Bourne Collection (The Bourne Identity / The Bourne Supremacy / The Bourne Ultimatum) from the Amazon Unbox Video Download Store and eat movie theater food (for example, popcorn, Goobers, Cracker Jack, etc.).

2. Planetarium Trip for Two (evening) - a planetarium show to be followed by sky viewing using the planetarium's 20-inch telescope

3. Dim Sum Delight (daytime) - Where else but Chinatown?

4. Dessert Date Day (daytime/evening) - A night out. We'll pick three to four different restaurants to try their desserts. At each one, we order only one dessert that we will share.

5. A Day to go Wild! (Bronx Zoo or Beardsley Zoo) (daytime)

Since I'm still not 100% recovered, he opted for Option 1. We didn't do The Jason Bourne marathon though. Ended up watching anime (BECK - Mongolian Chop Squad and Azumanga Daioh). Munched on Milk Duds, Ring Pops, Nestle Crunch Stixx, Gummi Bears and popcorn. Before dinner, we had crackers with Garlic and Roasted Pepper Flavor Boursin and finally, food from the nearby Vietnamese restaurant. I also bought him a nice chocolate cake.

My husband and I have been together since we were 20. Time flies fast.
