In light of recent events, I've been doing a lot of soul-searching and came up with these realizations:

- Nothing in life is indispensable and irreplaceable, except life itself.

- You can't be useless over there and be useful over here if, whether you're here or there, you're sick.

- The people who love you the most will not want to inconvenience you, in fact, they'd rather see you get well. The people you work with/for will be more than willing to inconvenience you, even if you're not well.

- Sometimes, it's better to hear the overblown version and be underwhelmed, than to hear the understated version and be overwhelmed.

- Some things you don't remember are easier to lose, than to be reminded of it and feel like you lose it all over again.

- Do not surround yourself with things. Surround yourself with people you love.

- Others can live in a state of denial. You don't have to.
