Meddlesome people

My mind has been going a mile per minute today. Just wondering how people can people live with themselves after knowingly messing up other people's lives.

Do they sleep soundly at night after plotting these things? Once they've succeeded in messing up other people's lives, do they feel sorry? Do they cheer that they've succeeded? Do they even know the impact of their actions on the people whose lives they meddled with? Do they look back on what they've done, thinking and gloating about their success? What about the people they hurt in the process? Do they feel sorry or guilty every now and then? When someone pokes their nose in other people's business, they assume they know better than the people concerned. Whether the meddling is intentional or not, why is it difficult to just mind your own business?
