For starters, my father-in-law passed away on November 9, two years after being diagnosed with lung cancer. We ended up flying to California and then to the Philippines, where Papa wished to finally rest. If a person is to be judged by what he left behind, then you were a great man. Rest in peace, Papa.
After we returned from the Philippines last Sunday, my father underwent a successful transcatheter aortic valve replacement last Thursday at the Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in New York City. After months and months of waiting. Now we pray for his safe and smooth recovery.
In between those two major events, we had the chance to meet up and hang out with old friends, and visit the extremely gorgeous Boracay. But I'll write about those some other time.
