But one has to live in the present. So I'm enjoying winter here in the northeast. Some days, the cold is just too darn much, but it is winter. And I do love snow. Waking up to the sight of snow always makes me happy, then I go back to sleeping again. It's a gift from nature, something that makes me smile.
We haven't really gone out to enjoy winter outdoors until last Saturday. We went snow tubing, together with my two sisters. The last time my husband and I went snow tubing was in 2008 (it's here). As can be expected, it was freezing outside, but hey, we made it, didn't we? All of us were bundled up and ready to brave the cold. Anyway, it was Lynn's first time to try snow tubing and she took to it like a duck to water.
You know what else I realized since returning from the Philippines? If we weren't here in the US, the northeast winters will be something I'll definitely miss. That's why it's best to enjoy things and live in the now.
