The first 10 minutes of it made me sad that I didn't want to watch it anymore. Kept telling my husband, "you wanted me to watch this?" Watching the story of Carl and Ellie's life together unfold was...well...quite a touching experience, to say the least.
Here are my thoughts while watching the movie:
You can never be too old or too young to have an adventure. Do what you want. Don't wait. Better yet, live your life as if every single day is an adventure.
Own a pet. Any pet. And yes, they will own you in return. They will fill the gaps and spaces, and somehow make you feel whole. To them, YOU are their world.
Let go when you're ready. You grow, outgrow and move on. "It's just a house." Or a car. Or a job. Whatever it is that's not working despite your best efforts, let it go.
Open your heart. It's an adventure. There are always new people, events and situations for you to encounter.
You never know if and when you're the best thing to happen in someone's life. You might very well change someone's life in ways you can't even imagine.
To those folks who couldn't believe I haven't seen "Up" and wondered why on earth I haven't, I finally get it.
