Shown last week, this proposal is so "Office"-appropriate. Well-played. I wondered how they'd do it, but they did a good job. An office romance with a happy ending. Of all the women Michael dated in that show, they're the perfect match. They actually did a little FB survey who Michael should end up with. A lot of us show fans voted for Holly because the other women were mean to him, especially his former boss Jan. His relationship with Holly worked because Michael's a geek, and so's Holly.
I admit, it's kinda weird having all those candles in a paper factory. Oh yeah, they sell paper and printer. And the sprinkler turning on? Seems like an homage to Jim's proposal to Pam. Take it from me, I've been watching all "The Office" episodes the past weeks, so I remember such things including Michael's references in the proposal. Nice touch having the entire office participate. Michael considers them family, after all.
Here's a Michael Scott quote from my favorite episode "Stress Relief, Part 1":
"Nobody should have to go to work thinking, 'oh, this is the place that I might die today. That's what a hospital is for. An office is for not dying. An office is a place to... live life to the fullest. To the max. To... an office is a place where dreams come true.'"
The mushy in me went, "awwww! and it was true for him when he found Holly."
Oh yes, I realize they're not real. :D
