"Choose one book that we've discussed and do a presentation about it as your final project."

I confess, I was stumped. What did they want? What were we supposed to DO? Every meeting, some of my classmates would bug them about it. "What's the presentation all about?" Our professors just said, "you've read the books. Choose one."

Final presentations were completed last night. I admit, some presentations impressed me content-wise. Creative juices flowed. That's when I had my "a-ha!" moment. We're in grad school. We're there to push ourselves to think more, conceptualize more and yes, execute our ideas more. It's not for them to tell us what and how to think. That was the unspoken challenge. Now I see the wisdom in it.
