I forgot to mention the whole "lightning bolt to the side of my head" sensation. Yep, it turns out that some shingles patients experience that, and I'm one of them. It doesn't happen often, but when it does, I can't even find the words to describe it. Even the slightest movement can trigger it...going downstairs, coughing...that there's no way to avoid it.
I can't even comb my hair on the left side because at the very least, it feels tingly; at worst, it hurts. I don't even use a hair dryer to dry my hair nowadays. Tough for me who likes to groom myself.
