Shingles: The Follow-up Check-up

I went to see my dermatologist today, exactly a week after she diagnosed me. Told her that I'm done with my medicines, and she checked out my lesions. She asked if the lesions appeared all over, but I told her that what she saw last Saturday was the extent of it (thank goodness!). If anything, what I had seemed to just dry off. She said it was good that I took the aciclovir early on, so it prevented things from getting worse.

She prescribed Vitamin B complex and Vitamin E, plus some ultrawhitening cream to apply on my skin once the crusts have fallen off. There's still a big one remaining on the tip of my left eyebrow (I'm hideous!). She asked me if I'm prone to hyperpigmentation, but I'm clueless so whatever.

She was surprised to find out that I stayed at home for the most part. Told her that I didn't want to spread things. I only ventured outside for the acupuncture session, and that was that. "You can make gala again if you want. Just don't stress yourself." A sound advice. I asked if I should come back for another check-up, but I'm supposed to be all set. If there's still pain, I'm supposed to take paracetamol. I really, truly hope so. By the way, I did not know that paracetamol and acetaminophen are the same, did you?

What else?

I finally tried BonChon for lunch. Nothing exciting or earth-shattering, if you ask me. I just wanted to find out what the fuss was all about. Later on, my mom, Lynn and I went for a foot spa and pedicure and then had dinner at Earth Kitchen. By the time we got home, I was exhausted. I must continue to take it easy then.
