Back to Binge-watching: "How I Met Your Mother"

The current addiction? "How I Met Your Mother". What can I say? The show's hilarious. Like laugh-out-loud hilarious. We're already on to season 5, so there are still so many episodes to watch.

Anyway, there was a conversation in the last episode we watched tonight (S5, E10: The Window) that I found interesting, which I'm posting here because...well, just because.

"Doesn't being scared let you know you're on to something important?

"If you're not scared, you're not taking a chance. And if you're not taking a chance, then what the hell are you doing?"
This next quote is from a different episode (S1, E21: Milk). Lily was going to New Haven for an art fellowship interview, but Ted was trying to stop her because if she goes to the interview and passes it, it would ruin her wedding plans to his friend and her fiance Marshall.

"Okay, yes, it's a mistake. I know it's a mistake. But there are certain things in life where you know it's a mistake, but you don't really know it's a mistake , because the only way to really know it's a mistake is to make a mistake and look back and say, 'Yep, that was a mistake.' So, really, the bigger mistake would be to not make the mistake because then you go your whole life not really knowing if something is a mistake or not."
