I got a new bike. Hubby gave me Giant Escape 3 W, which rides so well compared to my more-than-10-year-old bike. I can’t believe that I own it! It's such a beautiful one.
We watched our favorite "The Book of Mormon" on Broadway, a birthday gift from my sister Lani. We loved the soundtrack even before we saw the show. After seeing it, we loved it all the more!
I embarked on my baking adventures. Learned how to bake different breads, cakes, cupcakes and pastries. Which led to...
I started a new food blog. I've been meeting fellow bloggers, trying new eating places and attending food events.
I went to NY Comic Con. It was just one day, but enough to make me want to attend future comic cons.
We discovered Adventure Park. Glad we're still not old enough to shy away from adventures!
We tried snowshoeing for the first time and enjoyed it. Enjoyed it enough to get our own snowshoes, instead of renting. Now we just need a proper amount of snow, so we can go out and about.
I learned how to brew coffee using a French press. As a non-coffee drinker, this is an achievement.
I received my first pair of Merrell shoes. Hubby and sisters all own Merrells. It never even occurred to me that I needed one, but hubby bought me a pair before 2014 was over.
On a serious note...
My sister underwent a medical operation that went safely and smoothly followed by a quick recovery.
Despite my niece's car accident that resulted in the car getting totaled, she is safe. Cars are replaceable; she isn’t.
Which makes me very thankful for 2014.
I've got loyal and true friends despite the distance.
We are all in good health.
We have our own place that provides shelter, our own car that transports us to both new and old places, our clothes that...well, clothe us. We have all that we need and all that we want. We have more than enough.
Yes, it was a good 2014.
I know there are so many blessings that come our way every single day. In fact, every single day is perfect.
Now let's all make 2015 excellent!
p.s. I changed the theme for the new year. Still a work in progress, so please bear with me.
