Of Cooking and Baking

I remember a time when people wouldn't believe that I knew how to cook. (I vented about it here and here.) There were people who claimed to know me, but were surprised that I cooked. Eventually, I learned how to bake from scratch, a skill that surprised more people as I documented my experiments online.

I read this in a book about Leos: "...Only very few close friends will get to see the real side of a Leo's day-to-day life. To a Leo the home is a place of comfort, recreation and transformation; a secret, private retreat - a castle." In my case, it's very accurate.

Cooking for me is very personal and private. I don't cook for everyone. If I say that I'll cook for you or even without me saying so...if I'll learn your favorite recipe, then it means you're important to me. Baking is my alone time...all my thoughts are just focused on the recipe. I can spend hours in the kitchen baking away.

I'm just thankful that I ventured beyond cooking and tried baking.

Hello Cecilia,
I wasn't sure where to post this question. But I need to get some questions answered about hosting the angels and I am not able to find the answers anywhere. I agreed to host the angels starting this Saturday 4/16/16. When I made the commitment I had forgotten about evening plans we committed to and I am not sure we can be home by 10:30pm. I read on another site you can set your own time for them to arrive but my friend sent me the directions from your site and it is very specific about the 10:30pm arrival. I have also not been able to find three friends to participate. I have one for sure, another one who will be out of town for 3 of the 5 days. Can she invite the angels to one location but have them leave from another? Thank you for your help. I want to this be special and to do it correctly.

Hi Nature Mom,

Not that I'm an expert on these things, but there should be room for flexibility.

As for not finding three friends to participate, you can symbolically send them to your loved ones. I remember reading about that online. Good luck!
